FAQs

Can I Go?

I am pregnant, can I come?  For safety, we would recommend that you do not participate in any of our tours while pregnant.

I have a bad back, will I be affected?  If you have any known back, neck or other medical ailments, we advise that you not participate in any of our tours without ascertaining medical permission from your physician.

Why no children under 5 years for 4x4?  We are sorry but this is due to the nature of the tour and the fact that there are only lap seat belts available on our customized jeeps.

Why no children under 3 years for boat tours?  We are sorry, but this is due to the nature of the tour and the accompanying safety regulations.

Before the Tour

How should I/we dress?  Dress in comfortable, casual clothing. Feel free to wear a swimsuit under your clothes (this is a must for boat tours!) and flat enclosed shoes/sandals are best. Please note that some sandals can be slippery on wet/muddy surfaces.

What should I bring for the boat tour?  A small bag with essentials; towel, sun lotion, and change of t-shirt, spending money, and only electronic equipment that is water-resistant.

Pickups?  We do pickups from your Hotel lobby and private villas located along the West and South coasts. If you are staying at a villa please provide your address and telephone number at the time of booking. If you are staying at a private residence, there are limited locations near to hotels where we collect you. Please inquire at the time of booking.

Our friends/family are staying in another hotel. Can we sit together in the same vehicle?  Each vehicle accommodates a maximum of 11 persons. Each reservation can only have one pick up location; however, a request can be made, and we will try to facilitate seating you together where possible to do so.

Can you customize a tour?  Yes, we can! Your tour can be tailored to suit your needs - a great option for families, groups of friends or businesses looking to reward your loyal team members.

Can I reschedule my tour for another day? Reservations can be rescheduled at no charge, based on availability, if you contact us 48 hours or more prior to the original reservation.

Will I be refunded if I cancel my tour? Cancellations up to 1 week prior will receive a full refund. Cancellations up to 72 hours prior will receive a 75% refund. No refunds will be issued within 72 hours.

During the Tour

Is the 4 x 4 tour bumpy?  Yes the tour can be bumpy at times, as it travels on paved and unpaved surfaces.

Is the boat ride bumpy?  Power boat rides are actually very smooth and we travel close to the shoreline.

Can I sit in the front seat?  Sure! There is a front seat in the cab next to the tour guide driver.

What happens if it’s rainy?  We call it liquid sunshine! For our 4x4 tour the vehicles have plastic sides and a covered roof. Bring along a towel and a great sense of humor. For our boat tour, the tour will still operate, however if it’s going to be a very rainy day, it may necessitate rescheduling the tour for another day. We will inform you as early as possible if this is necessary.

Is there hiking involved?  There is no hiking on the tour; we make stops where you get out for photo taking and refreshments.

Can I go with the same guide we had last time?  You can request a Tour Guide Driver by name and we will do our best to facilitate your request.

I’ve never snorkeled before, can I still come?  Our trained tour guides will give detailed instructions before you enter the water and they accompany the group in the water at all times while visiting the snorkel site, to ensure your safety.

Can I bring my own snorkel gear?  Yes, you are free to bring your own snorkel gear.

Are turtle sightings guaranteed?  Barbados’ turtles are there 99% of the time; however, they are unrestricted marine species that are free to come and go from the snorkel site so we cannot guarantee sightings.

Can I touch the sea turtles?  No. Marine regulations call for protection of these animals, prohibiting them from being touched. Touching can also discourage the turtles from surfacing for air and will only make them swim further away.

Is there shade on the boat tour?  Shade is very limited on the boat, however the tours are designed so that you spend more time in the water snorkeling than on the boat. Make sure to bring sunscreen!
